Daddy's Softball Game

Austin finally got to play another softball game!!!  We have been getting way too much rain this spring and the storms seem to happen either day before or the day of his games...  But he got to play this week!  YAY!!!  It was super windy and very cold just sitting there, but the guys played great and run ruled the other team!  Go Pinnacle!!!  I think this was the first time they could play defense and hit in the same game and definitely the first time they called the game early because we were winning by so many runs!  :)  Kylie had a great time watching daddy play first base and hit the ball.

Lunch Time

Kylie was so silly at lunch the other day.  I love it that she just wanted to perform for the camera and couldn't have cared less about the food!  Definitely not normal for our little chunk...

Pigtails!!!

Kylie's hair finally got long enough to put in pigtails last month!!!  YAY, for a new haristyle!!!

She loves to play with her elephant shape sorter, not the way she is supposed to, but I'm sure she'll get it later.

She also learned how to put her rings on the post.  She was so excited the first time she did.  She quickly looked up at me to make sure that I had seen her accomplishment.  Once she got the hang of it, she would give a commentary on how to do it correctly.  What a big girl she is!

Softball Practice

Once the weather started to warm up we would go out and have batting practice at the park down the street.  Kylie was such a good girl and had fun watching Daddy and Mommy play catch and hit the balls.  She would sit there and watch, cuddle bear, and eat lots of snacks! 

She was being a little stubborn when it came to her "vocab lesson" though...    :)

Blanket!

Kylie is enjoying getting into everything possible!  She likes to pull our blanket off of the couch and play...  It was so cute the first time she did this, she was going crazy!!!!

She had more fun crawling around with it and diving face first on the blanket.  What  crazy girl!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Kylie!!!

Kylie turned 1 today!!!  Wow, did this last year go by WAY too fast...  We've had lots of fun times, and  we've enjoyed watching her grow and learn every day.  Despite having a cold, she had a great day today!  We met Daddy at Mimi's for lunch.

We had a great dinner... chicken scallopini (thanks Grammy!) and then a fun little party with a perfectly timed call from Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jake, and Auntie Anna.  Kylie may have enjoyed her cupcake, just a little bit....   :)

We then moved onto the presents!!!  Kylie had a good time reading her cards and play with her new toys and clothes. 

Kylie had a great 1st birthday, we wish we could have celebrated with the whole family though...  Thanks for all of the gifts and cards!  Kylie sends a big kiss! 

Death Valley!!!

The annual Death Valley trip was a blast, as usual!  My whole family was there (except for Austin who had work and school...).  We definitely missed him, but we still had a good time.  The weather was much better than the last couple of years.  It was warm (80 degrees) and sunny and just perfect!  :)  We spent most of our time at the pool, of course.  It was so fun to see all of the nieces and nephews playing, they are all getting so big!  Kylie just loved the swimming pool!  She had so much fun splashing and occasionally licking the water.  Yummy...  We definitely have a little swimmer on our hands! 

She even didn't mind going under the water!
